Make & Decorate a Pinch Pot
What to Expect
This is ideal for beginners/intermediates who would like to have a one-off experience of making and glazing a clay item.
Pinch pots can be made into a variety of items mugs, lided items, plant pots, dog bowls, decorative animals, decorative fruit, spheres, tea lights - the options are endless. You will be taught:
how to create a basic pinch pot; how to make the pot taller/alter its shape; how to embellish and decorate the pot. You will have access to a curated Pinterest board before your session to help inspire you. A wide range of glaze colours will be available for you to decorate your pot.
Workshop will last 3 hours.
Can be booked for 1 - 10 people.
All materials and equipment provided, just turn up in clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty (everything used in the studio washes out).
Tea and Coffee/Studio Loo/EV Charger.
Please bring packed lunch for the 11-2pm workshops.

Who will enjoy this experience
Anyone who is creative, and has always wanted to learn how to work with clay. One for the bucket list! Jo has taught a range of students, all of whom are beginners, so she is used to starting right at the basics.
Jo's teaching style is relaxed, informative and hands-on.
This workshop is suited to someone who just wants to have a go or isn't sure if they will enjoy pottery and want to experience. You will have plenty of contact with the clay as you form, shape and smooth out your pieces. It is a calm, mindful experience. You do not need to be artistic or creative to enjoy this experience as Jo will guide each person according to their ability/interests/skill level.
Where
Jo has a lovely, bright, spacious studio set in stunning surroundings near Pandy. Located at Allt Yr Ynys, and on the site of Allt Cottages, the studio is a welcoming space surrounded with gardens, and views of Hatterall Ridge - part of Offa's Dyke.
